Baron is 2 Months Old

At 2 Months old, Baron weighed 5lbs 4oz measuring 17"

March 21st, Baron turned 2 months old. Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop came up from FL to spend some time with their first grandbaby. Man is he is lucky baby!! Baron also had his first round of shots at his 2 month old checkup with his pediatrician. He didn't really like those much!!

Baron is 1 Month old!

At 1 Month old, Baron weighed 4lbs 1oz measuring 16 1/2"

February 21st, Baron turned 1 month old. He is still tiny, but getting bigger each day. On February 18th, Baron had his first pediatrician appt. The dr told us to keep doing whatever it is we are doing because he is doing great!!

Baron's Homecoming!

On Saturday night Mommy and Daddy were asked to "room-in" with Baron at the hopital for a dry run of what it will be like once he is home. After being very hands-on with him all day everyday for 27 days in the NICU, I was confident we would do just fine. By the time Baron was leaving, all the NICU nurses were joking that I could get a job in the NICU! hehe Well, on Sunday morning at 9:30 we finally left the hopital WITH Baron.

I must say, when Baron was born it was the best and scariest day of my life...but Sunday (February 17th) was the happiest day of my life!

Fourth Week in the NICU

At the end of Week 4, Baron weighed 3lbs 12.4oz measuring 16 1/2"

By the forth week, Baron was really truckin' along. On Thursday, they took out his feeding tube!! He was eating all on his own while keeping his blood sugar up...this was a big accomplishment for our little man. On Friday, he graduated from the isolett to a bassinet. He was maintaining his body temperature all by himself. Also on Friday, we were told Baron would be able to come home Sunday! Before he could come home he had to passed his car seat test and fast for 6 hours while keeping his blood sugar up. He passed both! On Saturday he was given the green light to go home Sunday.

Third Week in the NICU

At the end of Week 3, Baron weighed 3lbs 7.7oz measuring 16 1/2"

During week 3, Baron's blood sugar really started to improve. We started to ween down the continuous feedings and up his every 3hr feedings! Yeah!! He also started back with the bottle for a couple feedings a day. All in all he is headed in the right direction!!
